Job summary

BUUK Infrastructure, via GTC, seeks a Construction Manager to lead the North West portfolio and deliver GSHP and utility infrastructure projects. The role requires strong project management, safety leadership, and cost control across multi-utility works in a busy regional environment.

You will coordinate with Site Managers and key customers, ensure timely deliverables, and participate in standby rotas for gas or electric supply emergencies where needed.

Qualifications

• One of the following: Civil Engineering Qualification, Authorising Engineer registration (gas), Senior Authorised Person (electric) or NCO3 (water) qualifications or experience in the Utility environment with experience in Multi Utility New Housing Works.
• Significant experience and a working knowledge of current Legislation, Technical Standards & Specifications, Codes of Practice and Recommendations relating to all Civil, Gas, Electric, Heat & Water Distribution Systems.

Responsibilities

• Manage the North West portfolio of works for the GTC business unit.
• Oversee health and safety for installation and utility networks; investigate incidents and close corrective actions.
• Handle project financial reporting, costs, and team performance.
• Monitor productivity and cost management in line with project budgets.
• Weekly site cost reporting for materials, plant hire and subcontractors.
• Order and manage material and plant expenditure; conduct Toolbox Talks.
