Job summary

Murphy & Sons Ltd in the United Kingdom is recruiting a Construction Manager to join the Energy on National Grid, Great Grid Partnership at Glaslyn - Porthmadog. You will oversee construction and installation phases, coordinate resources, and ensure quality and safety during delivery.

The ideal candidate has experience delivering major civils projects, holds an HNC/HND or NVQ Level 5 (or degree), and demonstrates strong leadership and client relationships.

Qualifications

• Experience delivering Major Civils projects.
• Experience within a Construction Manager role or similar.
• HNC / HND or NVQ Level 5 (or Degree)
• Excellent stakeholder management skills, able to develop close working relationships with clients and subcontractors.

Responsibilities

• Overall management of project teams during the construction and installation phase of the project.
• Coordination of constructability input during solutions identification and development phase.
• Allocation of construction staff to projects based on experience, skills and knowledge.
• Liaises with Project Managers to ensure construction resource pool is appropriately sized with suitable skill mix.
• Overall management of construction resources including Labour, Plant and Materials.
• Performance management of subcontractors.
• Ensures teams are accountable for performance against schedules and budgets.
• Oversee Principal Contractor duties under CDM Regulations.
• Control all construction activities to meet quality procedures.
• Interface with functional leaders to enable project development from solution to handover.
