Job summary

Amey in Bristol is seeking a permanent Construction Manager to lead the Specialist Bridges Inspection and Maintenance (SBIM) contract on the Severn, Prince of Wales, and Avonmouth Bridges. The role requires leading site supervision teams, upholding health and safety standards, and delivering maintenance and renewals on time and within budget.

You will coordinate resources, manage on-site operations, and contribute to design reviews and cost control while mentoring staff and working on-site at

• Mentor staff and apprentices, manage teams using company systems, and participate in the emergency on-call rota.

We have a fantastic opportunity for a permanent Construction manager to join our Specialist Bridges Inspection and Maintenance (SBIM) contract in Bristol, working on the iconic Severn, Prince of Wales and Avonmouth Bridges.

The SBIM contract is to deliver the inspection and maintenance programme along with scheme on behalf of National Highways. This is a great opportunity to be part of delivering complex projects in the specialist structures industry.

Construction Manager plays an important part in managing the distribution of site supervision staff and ensure that they focus on the concepts of health and safety. Please note that you will be required to work at height and must be able to do so.

The standard hours of work are 40 hours per week

What You’ll Do:

What You’ll Bring:

• 2Day SSSTS / 5 Day SMSTS.
