Job summary

KONE is seeking a Construction Manager to lead the Lifts Modernisation & Installation team with location flexibility across Yorkshire or the North West. You will manage scope, schedule and budget, acting as the primary interface to customers and stakeholders to drive satisfaction and profitability.

The role requires leadership, robust health and safety knowledge, and effective communication. You will coordinate site start-up, resources and subcontractors to deliver projects on time and to KONE

Qualifications

• People management and leadership.
• Strong customer and subcontractor relationship management.
• Proven ability in financial project planning and cost control.
• Excellent health and safety knowledge as a core requirement.
• Valid driving licence for site travel.
• Experience in lifts, construction or engineering is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Manage projects from sales/installation hand-over to completion and handover to customer and maintenance.
• Lead project startup, reviews, reporting and facilitation.
• Oversee site preparations, logistics and resource planning.
• Lead the installation team including subcontractors and ensure adequate resourcing and motivation.
• Maintain proactive customer communication and stakeholder management throughout the project.
• Oversee project financial planning, cash flow and revenue management, including change orders.
• Create and enforce safety and security policies on site.

Due to some exciting projects, KONE is looking for a Construction Manager to join our Lifts Modernisation & Installation team. This role offers location flexibility, with coverage across either Yorkshire or the North West, depending on where you are based.

Construction Manager is accountable for managing the scope, schedule and budget of the assigned projects. Manager acts as the KONE interface to customer and other stakeholders during the project with primary focus on customer satisfaction and KONE profitability.

Key accountabilities at the role:

• Manage projects from sales/installation hand-over to completion at handover to customer and Maintenance
• Responsible for successful project start-up, project reviews, project reporting and facilitating
• Responsible for site preparations and readiness, storage and logistics, and needed resources and tools
• Lead and manage the installation team, including subcontractors, plan and ensure sufficient project resourcing and competences, responsible for site operatives’ motivation
• Accountable for proactively managing customer communication throughout the project, ensure professional stakeholder management
• Accountable for the project’s financial planning and forecasting, cash flow management and revenue management (capitalizing on change order opportunities)
• Create and maintain safety and security awareness amongst employees and subcontractors in the project. Ensure following of KONE's and customer’s safety and security policies
