Job summary

KONE, a global leader in lifts and escalators, seeks a Construction Manager to join the Lift Installation team covering South Manchester, Liverpool and North Wales. You will lead installation crews, manage sites, ensure safety, schedule and budget alignment to deliver high-quality projects.

You will develop teams, plan resources, coordinate logistics, and drive continuous improvement while maintaining strong relationships with customers and subcontractors.

Qualifications

• Proven ability to lead and develop installation teams.
• Strong customer and subcontractor relationship management.
• Solid understanding of health, safety and environmental requirements.
• Valid UK driving licence and willingness to travel to sites.
• Experience in the lift/escalator industry is advantageous but not essential.

Responsibilities

• Maintain accurate schedules for material deliveries, installation activities and project handovers.
• Ensure full compliance with health, safety and environmental requirements.
• Plan and coordinate installation resources, logistics and workforce requirements.
• Provide clear direction to installation teams and monitor progress toward objectives.
• Lead, coach and develop team members by identifying training needs.
• Conduct regular site visits, safety audits and handovers, managing costs.
• Drive customer satisfaction through proactive communication and safe, high-quality installations.

Due to continued growth and exciting projects, KONE is looking for a Construction Manager to join our Lift Installation team. This role will cover South Manchester, Liverpool and North Wales.

As a Construction Manager, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the safe, efficient and high-quality delivery of installation projects. Through predictive planning, proactive site management and standardised ways of working, you will lead and develop installation teams to achieve operational excellence.

Key accountabilities

• Maintain accurate schedules for material deliveries, installation activities and project handovers, ensuring site readiness and timely resolution of non-conformities.
• Ensure full compliance with all health, safety and environmental requirements, promoting a safe working environment for employees, subcontractors and customers.
• Plan and coordinate installation resources, logistics and workforce requirements to optimise efficiency and deliver projects in line with customer commitments.
• Provide clear direction to installation teams, setting expectations, monitoring progress and maintaining regular communication to achieve agreed objectives.
• Lead, coach and develop team members by identifying training needs, recognising good performance and driving continuous improvement.
• Conduct regular site visits, safety audits and handovers, while effectively managing installation costs and supporting project profitability.
• Drive customer satisfaction through proactive communication and the delivery of safe, high-quality installations that meet scope, schedule and budget requirements.
