Job Opportunity: Construction Manager

Are you a Construction Manager looking to work on a long-term civil engineering project? If so, this opportunity might be perfect for you!

A renowned civil engineering contractor is seeking a freelance Construction Manager to lead a team on site. Your responsibilities will include delivering work to the specified standards, within budget and schedule, while ensuring health and safety compliance.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Ensure the delivery team understands the contract programme requirements.
2. Write and review subcontract scopes of work during the tender process.
3. Produce cost forecasts for each package of work.
4. Review subcontractor or tender submissions.
5. Coordinate with Agents/Sub Agents to communicate delivery plans in a timely manner.
6. Ensure subcontractor packages are delivered according to plans and budgets.
7. Collaborate with the project planner, commercial manager, and design manager.

Ideal Candidate:

• Degree or HNC/HND in Civil Engineering or Construction Management.
• CSCS certification.
• SMSTS certification.
• Experience in civil engineering projects in a similar role.
