Job description

We have an excellent opportunity for a Construction Manager to join our team delivering the HMP Glasgow project.

HMP Glasgow is a flagship project for Kier Strategic Projects in Scotland. The construction manager will be responsible for the delivery of the front of house building, a £50M+ steel frame structure that serves as the entrance to the campus.

Location: Glasgow, Scotland

Hours: Full Time, Monday to Friday

Responsibilities include:

• Delivering a high-value, technically complex building, achieving safety, programme, quality, and budget targets.
• Driving the project to completion in line with Kier standards and project targets, empowering and guiding the site team.
• Applying Kier's SHE policies and procedures, ensuring compliance from all employees and subcontractors.
• Mentoring, line managing, and serving as an escalation point for the site team, sharing knowledge to develop others.
• Reporting to the operations manager with regular updates and addressing challenges collaboratively.
• Promoting Kier's values with our supply chain and customers to exceed expectations and support excellence.
• Ensuring compliance with the Business Management System and maintaining effective records.

Qualifications and experience:

• Experience delivering high-value buildings within a main contractor environment.
• Relevant construction qualification (degree, HND, SVQ).
• IT literacy, including Word, Excel, and project management software (ASTA Power Project or Microsoft Project).
• 5-day SMSTS, CSCS Card, First Aid Certification, and Full UK Driving Licence.
