Job summary

Astute’s Power Team is partnering with a market-leading EPC company to recruit a Construction Manager in the United Kingdom. The role offers up to £90,000 salary, a £6,000 car allowance, private healthcare and other benefits, with a strong focus on safety and project delivery.

Reporting to the Director, you will lead erection planning and coordination for industrial plant projects, ensuring adherence to HSE and client requirements, whilst guiding site personnel and coordinating with stakeholders.

Qualifications

• Degree educated in engineering.
• IOSH or NEBOSH will be highly desired.

Responsibilities

• Establish and manage the erection plan for allocated projects, ensuring delivery in line with HSE, quality, programme, cost and client requirements.
• Plan and coordinate project resources with the Project Manager and key stakeholders.
• Support and guide site personnel to achieve safe, efficient and high-standard work packages.
• Develop and implement erection methodologies, including sequencing, scheduling and coordination with subcontractors.
• Supervise site activities, procure installation packages, source third-party personnel, report progress, and manage risks.

The vital Construction Manager role comes with a salary of up to c.£90,000 + £6,000 per annum car allowance + private healthcare + other benefits.

Responsibilities and duties of the Construction Manager role

Reporting to the Director, you will be responsible for:

• Establishing and managing the erection plan for allocated projects, ensuring successful delivery in line with HSE, quality, programme, cost, and client requirements.
• Plan and coordinate project resources in collaboration with the Project Manager and other key stakeholders.
• Support and guide site personnel to ensure work package objectives are achieved safely, efficiently, and to the required standards.
• Develop and implement erection methodologies, including sequencing, scheduling, and coordination with subcontractors and third parties.
• Supervise construction site activities, procure installation packages and tools, source third-party personnel, report progress to the Project Director, and proactively manage project risks and deviations.

Professional qualifications

We are looking for someone with the following:

• Degree educated in an engineering discipline
• IOSH or NEBOSH will be highly desired

Personal Skills and prior experience

The Construction Manager role would suit someone who has:

• At least 5 years experience working as a Construction Manager/Project Manager on an industrial plant
• Experience working on projects over £100m
• Proven experience within industrial construction, plant erection, construction planning and site supervision
• Excellent communication skills
• Good understanding on health, safety and environmental requirements within a construction environment
