Job summary

Lipson Lloyd Jones Ltd is seeking a construction litigation lawyer for a fast-growing law firm in London. The role targets candidates with 3-5pqe and some non-contentious experience is welcome but not essential.

You will advise on construction contracts, manage disputes through adjudication, arbitration and mediation, and draft submissions and witness statements for court proceedings. Experience with the Technology & Construction Court is advantageous.

Qualifications

• 3-5PQE in construction litigation or related field.
• Strong academic background
• Good knowledge of the Housing Grants, Construction & Regeneration Act 1996
• Familiarity with the Scheme for Construction Contracts (England & Wales) Regulations 1998 and CPRs

Responsibilities

• Advise on all aspects of construction contracts and related issues.
• Represent clients in dispute resolution processes including adjudication, arbitration and mediation.
• Draft submissions and witness statements for proceedings.
• Manage proceedings in the Technology & Construction Court.
• Draft concise, client-specific advice across different client types.

THE ROLE

This is an opportunity for a construction litigation lawyer with 3-5pqe - some non-contentious experience preferable but not essential.

YOU WILL BE:

• Advising on every aspect of construction contracts (e.g. payments, extensions of time, loss and expense, defects, procurement and insurance issues);
• Acting on all forms of dispute resolutions including adjudication, arbitration and mediation;
• Drafting submissions and witness statements for the purpose of proceedings;
• Managing proceedings in the Technology & Construction Court;
• Drafting concise advice tailored to different client types;

ABOUT YOU

You should have a strong academic background, and a thorough understanding of the Housing Grants, Construction & Regeneration Act 1996, the Scheme for Construction Contracts (England & Wales) Regulations 1998 and the Civil Procedure Rules.
