Job summary

Warwickshire County Council is seeking a Business Skills Advisor to help employers, colleges and skills partners connect industry needs with education and workforce development within the Warwickshire Construction Industry Exchange Programme. You will broker relationships, link industry knowledge with curricula, and support employer-led activity.

The role focuses on coordinating activity through a central brokerage model, matching opportunities with teaching staff, and growing the programme

Qualifications

• Experience of employer engagement, partnership working, skills brokerage, education or construction-related workforce development would be valuable.
• Strong organisation, communication and relationship management skills.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate activity through a central brokerage model, acting as a contact point for employers and colleges.
• Match construction organisations and professionals with teaching opportunities such as guest lectures, demonstrations and workshops.
• Support FE construction teachers to spend time in industry for CPD.
• Mobilise and grow the programme, support a shared delivery plan across providers, and reduce duplication.
