Job summary

Derygate Ltd, a well-established building services contractor, is seeking a Health and Safety Manager to cover projects across the Midlands. The role focuses on driving health, safety and compliance standards on live construction sites, partnering with Site and Contracts Managers.

You will conduct inspections, develop policies and RAMS, investigate incidents, deliver toolbox talks and trainings, and maintain records while keeping up-to-date with CDM regulations.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as Health and Safety Manager in construction.
• NEBOSH General Certificate required.
• CSCS/CCNSG card held.
• Full UK driving license.
• Strong knowledge of CDM Regulations.

Responsibilities

• Conduct regular site inspections and audits across live construction sites.
• Develop, implement and monitor Health & Safety policies, procedures and RAMS.
• Investigate accidents, incidents and near misses; produce reports and implement corrective actions.
• Deliver toolbox talks, inductions and training to site staff and subcontractors.
• Liaise with Site/Contracts Managers, subcontractors and clients to promote a strong safety culture.
• Keep up to date with changes in Health & Safety legislation and ensure ongoing compliance.
