Job summary

Vital Energi is seeking a practical H&S Advisor to support engineering and construction teams across the North West (Cheshire, North Wales, Liverpool, Manchester and Lancaster). The role is field‑based with regular site travel and most time spent on site, ensuring VE safety policies and CDM 2015 compliance.

You will lead RAMS reviews, incident investigations, toolbox talks and training, and work with project teams to continuously improve health and safety performance across multiple sites.

Qualifications

• NEBOSH General Certificate (essential).
• NVQ Level 3 in Occupational Health & Safety or equivalent (desirable).
• Full UK Driving Licence and ability to travel regularly across sites in the North West.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with project teams to implement high‑standard health and safety across sites.
• Review RAMS and ensure safe systems of work in line with regulations.
• Conduct monthly site inspections and produce improvement reports.
• Lead incident investigations and determine root causes.
• Deliver toolbox talks and training to project staff.
• Support induction and ongoing health and safety training.
• Liaise with HSE manager to maintain ISO-aligned practices.
