Job summary

Galliford Try is seeking a General Operative in Inverness to support project teams across the Highland region. You will assist tradespeople through the project life-cycle and may travel between sites as required.

Able to work safely, flexible in location, and committed to site safety, you will contribute to a variety of building projects while developing hands-on skills within a leading UK contractor.

Qualifications

• Ability to work safely and follow safety instructions.
• Flexible attitude to work and location.
• Adheres to health and safety policy and procedures.

Responsibilities

• Help tradespeople and management with every aspect of the building process
• Be involved in projects from start to finish
• Follow all health and safety procedures
• Be involved in logistics, traffic management and erecting safe working zones
• Operate hand machinery such as drills, as required
• Set up and dismantle access equipment, including ladders and some scaffolding
• Transporting, stacking and removing tools, equipment and materials.
