Job summary

Galliford Try Group in Inverness is seeking a General Operative to support project teams throughout the construction lifecycle across the Highland region. You will work alongside tradespeople, help manage site activities and ensure safe, efficient progress.

This role requires flexibility, a safety-first mindset and willingness to travel to multiple sites. You will assist with logistics, set up access equipment, operate hand tools, and help maintain a clean, safe work environment in line with

General Operative

Inverness

An opportunity has arisen for a General Operative to join the team at Morrison Construction. Working as part of our wider Morrison Team, you will support the project teams through the project life-cycle of various Projects across the Highland area.

Ideally, you will based in or around the Inverness area and will have the opportunity to travel across multiple sites / projects in the Region.

What you will be doing:
  • Help tradespeople and management with every aspect of the building process
  • Be involved in projects from start to finish
  • Follow all health and safety procedures
  • Be involved in logistics, traffic management and erecting safe working zones
  • Operate hand machinery such as drills, as required
  • Set up and dismantle access equipment, including ladders and some scaffolding
  • Transporting, stacking and removing tools, equipment and materials.
About You:
  • Ability to work safely and follow safety instructions
  • Flexible attitude to work and location.
  • General understanding and awareness of individual Health and Safety responsibilities and adheres to company health and safety policy and procedures.
