Job summary

Ravenworth is recruiting a Finance / Accounts Manager in the UK to oversee day-to-day financial operations for a growing construction business. The role involves CIS, supplier payments, invoicing, and supporting directors with office administration.

Based in Barking with a six-month handover, you will manage ledgers, payroll, and monthly reporting while driving improvements to financial processes.

Qualifications

• Experience in construction industry accounting (CIS essential).
• Strong knowledge of UK bookkeeping and financial controls.
• Confident using accounting software (Xero / Sage / Evolution).

Responsibilities

• Manage purchase and sales ledgers, bank reconciliations, and monthly reporting.
• Oversee CIS compliance, verify subcontractors, CIS deductions, and monthly returns.
• Handle invoicing, credit control, payments, and cashflow tracking.
• Liaise with suppliers, subcontractors, and clients on financial queries.
• Manage and process weekly payroll.
• Provide general office administration and support to directors.
