Vita Recruitment is recruiting a Finance Assistant with construction industry experience and strong Sage 50 skills for an office-based role in South Woodford, East London. The position requires hands-on accounting work across ledgers, invoicing and reconciliations.

The successful candidate will manage purchase and sales ledgers, perform bank reconciliations, and maintain accurate records. This is a busy, detail-focused role, five days a week, in an office setting.

Qualifications

• Previous experience as a Finance Assistant or Accounts Assistant.
• Construction industry experience is required.
• Hands-on experience using Sage 50 is essential.
• Sound understanding of purchase ledger, sales ledger and general bookkeeping.
• Excellent numerical and organisational skills.

Responsibilities

• Process purchase and sales invoices.
• Manage purchase and sales ledgers.
• Reconciling supplier statements and discrepancies.
• Assist with bank reconciliations and general bookkeeping.
• Maintain financial records using Sage 50.
• Monitor outstanding invoices and assist with credit control.
• Liaise with suppliers and subcontractors on account queries.
• Provide general finance support to the business.
