Tilbury Douglas is recruiting an Estimator in London to help prepare robust bids across our construction portfolio. You will work with pre-construction and project delivery colleagues to develop value-led solutions based on clear information.

You will review documents, prepare quantities and cost plans, and coordinate material and subcontract enquiries to secure competitive tenders. Flexible, collaborative style and strong numeracy are essential.

Qualifications

• Experience preparing analytical building estimates.
• Experience estimating across sectors: industrial, commercial, education and healthcare.
• Knowledge of traditional, partnering, design and build, two‑stage tendering and framework procurement, plus cost planning.
• Strong technical and commercial construction knowledge; awareness of Building Regulations and BIM useful.
• Confident communicator with strong numerical, organisation and presentation skills; ability to meet deadlines and work with others.

Responsabilités

• Review tender documents, visit sites, identify project risks and raise technical queries.
• Prepare bills of quantities, cost plans and analytical estimates, including preliminaries, using sound construction judgement.
• Prepare material and subcontract enquiries, identify suitable subcontractors, and assess quotations.
• Work with bid, design and project teams on tender strategy and design development, identifying opportunities for value engineering.
• Maintain tender records, present estimates and commercial issues at settlement, complete submissions and support handover to the delivery team.
