You will price refurbishment, fit-out and general building works, produce tenders, and collaborate with clients, suppliers and internal teams to secure profitable opportunities.

The role emphasizes accurate costings, value engineering where appropriate and timely tender submissions.

Qualifications

• Previous experience as an Estimator in the construction industry.
• Experience pricing refurbishment, fit-out or general building projects.
• Strong knowledge of construction methods and costs.
• Ability to interpret drawings, specs and tender documents.
• Experience obtaining subcontractor quotations and negotiating costs.

Responsibilities

• Prepare detailed cost estimates and tender submissions for construction projects.
• Review drawings, specifications, tender documents and project requirements.
• Produce material, labour, plant and subcontractor costings.
• Obtain and analyse quotations from suppliers and subcontractors.
• Carry out take-offs and measure quantities from drawings.
• Identify commercial risks, opportunities and cost-saving measures.
• Liaise with clients, suppliers, subcontractors and internal teams.
• Prepare tender documentation, bills of quantities and pricing schedules.
• Ensure estimates are accurate, competitive and submitted on time.
• Support handover of successful tenders to delivery and commercial teams.
• Maintain up-to-date cost information and supplier databases.
• Contribute to value engineering and alternative cost proposals.
