About the role

Become part of the first new nuclear power station to be built in the UK in over 20 years! Join our Balfour Beatty Kilpatrick team as an Construction Engineer on the Hinkley Point Project and develop your career with this exciting project.

About Hinkley Point C

The first new nuclear power station in over 20 years in the UK, Hinkley Point C in Somerset, will supply low-carbon electricity to around 6 million homes, create thousands of jobs, and provide lasting benefits to the UK economy. It marks a significant milestone in revitalizing the nuclear industry, contributing to the UK's efforts to reduce carbon emissions. The electricity generated by its two EPR reactors will offset 9 million tonnes of CO2 emissions annually.

What you'll be doing

1. Deliver Construction Work packs to support the MEH Alliance programme.
2. Utilize the MPower/Procon system to support construction activities and progress reporting for the MEH Alliance.
3. Manage requests and ensure compliance for Work Authorization and Permit systems within the MEH Alliance.
4. Coordinate safe access routing to workfaces to support construction activities.
5. Conduct topographical and other surveys necessary for the MEH Alliance construction works.
6. Ensure compliance with all nuclear safety and site license requirements.
7. Review and provide feedback on resource levels to effectively support the function.

Who we're looking for

1. A degree or HNC in a relevant discipline, or relevant experience.
2. Ability to obtain security clearance.
