Job summary

TSR Legal are supporting a top law firm in Cardiff by recruiting a Contentious Construction Solicitor to join the Construction team. You will advise developers, contractors, funders, investors and public bodies on a broad range of construction disputes and related engineering matters.

The role involves managing matters from instruction to resolution with exposure to complex, high-value disputes and the chance to develop strong client relationships while contributing to business development and

Qualifications

Qualified solicitor in England & Wales with construction experience.
Experience in adjudication and TCC litigation is preferred.
Strong drafting, analytical and advocacy skills.
Excellent commercial awareness and client relationship skills.
Ability to manage a varied caseload and meet deadlines.

Responsibilities

Advising on a broad range of construction and engineering disputes.
Managing matters from instruction through resolution with exposure to high-value disputes.
Conducting adjudications with notices, referrals and enforcement.
Handling litigation in the Technology and Construction Court (TCC).
Advising on arbitration, mediation, negotiation and other ADR.
Drafting pleadings, statements and litigation documentation.
Managing budgets, deadlines and client expectations across matters.
Collaborating with partners, solicitors and paralegals across the team.
Building relationships with existing and prospective clients and supporting BD initiatives.
