Job summary

McDonalds Restaurants Limited is seeking a senior Design Manager to lead design across new builds, refurbishments and estates projects throughout the UK & Ireland. The role requires coordinating Architects, procurement and restaurant services while ensuring regulatory compliance and best-in-class design standards.

You will manage multiple projects concurrently, drive design decisions, and maintain comprehensive documentation to support project delivery.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in design management within retail construction.
• Strong knowledge of construction processes and project lifecycles.
• Excellent communication, negotiation and organisational skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead the design management for New Build, Refurbishment and Estates projects across the UK&I.
• Collaborate with external Architects and internal stakeholders to deliver efficient design solutions.
• Ensure compliance with Building and Welfare Regulations and maintain version-controlled design documentation.
• Facilitate design reviews and workshops with cross-functional teams and suppliers.
