Job summary

Kier Group is seeking a Cost Manager to join the KierBAM team on a major redevelopment project at Plymouth - Devonport Royal Dockyard. The role requires on‑site work (3 days on site minimum) and close collaboration with Quantity Surveyors, Procurement, Finance and Management to keep costs within budget.

You will analyse data, forecast expenses, and manage contracts and changes with NEC4 knowledge, leveraging advanced Excel capabilities to deliver clear reports and insights for stakeholders.

Qualifications

• Strong numerical, analytical, and problem‑solving skills.
• Attention to detail; ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines.
• Understanding of construction methods and NEC4 contract requirements.

Responsibilities

• Analyze cost data, forecast expenses, and generate clear financial reports for stakeholders.
• Manage large data sets using Excel and systems flows; understand procurement and reporting processes.
• Manage contract requirements including NEC4, defined cost, and change management.
• Identify, analyse, and mitigate cost-related risks throughout the project lifecycle.
• Communicate effectively with colleagues and external parties as part of a team.
