Job summary

Aon is seeking a Construction Broker/Account Handler in Liverpool or Manchester. The role offers hybrid working with flexibility to work from either office and remotely as appropriate.

Based in the UK Construction team, you will deliver expert service and technical advice, preparing market presentations, negotiating terms, and liaising with clients, underwriters and colleagues to drive revenue and maintain documentation.

Qualifications

• Experience in construction insurance and its specialist marketplace.

Responsibilities

• Piece together and prepare market presentations to clients’ enquiries to insurers.
• Negotiate policy terms for clients.
• Attend and arrange meetings with clients, underwriters and colleagues.
• Comply with regulatory standards and maintain accurate documentation and file notes.
• Identify revenue development opportunities on allocated client accounts.

What the day will look like

Working within our highly respected UK Construction team you'll ensure the highest levels of service and technical advice are delivered to our portfolio of clientele. Daily responsibilities will include:

• Piecing together and preparing market presentations to broke clients' enquiries to insurers.
• Negotiate policy terms for clients
• Attend and arrange meetings with clients, underwriters and colleagues
• Complying with regulatory and other standards as directed by line management including helping to build accurate and timely documentation, record keeping and file notes.
• Identifying revenue development opportunities on allocated client accounts and making recommendations to Client Managers
• Liaising and interacting with broking colleagues in Construction, Commercial Risk and the wider Aon network
• Accurate updating and reporting from spreadsheets
