Job summary

Aon is recruiting for a Construction Broker/Account Handler in the UK, with offices in Liverpool or Manchester. You will manage bespoke insurance requirements for construction clients and build strong relationships with clients and underwriters.

The role involves preparing market presentations, negotiating terms, attending meetings, and ensuring compliant documentation. The successful candidate will demonstrate construction insurance knowledge, excellent communication, and a proactive approach

Qualifications

• In-depth understanding of construction insurance and its specialist marketplace.
• Phenomenal communication skills for collaborating with clients, colleagues and underwriters.
• Ability to identify revenue development opportunities on allocated client accounts.

Responsibilities

• Piece together and prepare market presentations for client inquiries to insurers.
• Negotiate policy terms for clients.
• Attend and arrange meetings with clients, underwriters and colleagues.
• Comply with regulatory and other standards as directed by line management including documentation and record keeping.
• Identify revenue development opportunities on allocated client accounts and make recommendations to Client Managers.
• Liaise with broking colleagues in Construction, Commercial Risk and the wider Aon network.
• Accurate updating and reporting from spreadsheets.
