Construction Bid Manager

Permanent, Full Time

Location: Rainham, RM13 8RH (Hybrid – 3 days office / 2 days WFH)

VINCI, a leading provider of facilities management and building solutions across the UK, is seeking a Construction Bid Manager to join their growing work-winning team in Rainham, Essex.

This is an excellent opportunity to join a highly respected contractor with a robust pipeline of major refurbishment and fit-out projects across London and the South East. The successful candidate will lead on a wide range of framework and standalone tenders, typically valued between £500k and £8 million, supporting growth across multiple sectors.

While prior bid management experience is preferred, applications are also welcomed from experienced Bid Writers within the construction sector who are ready to progress into a management role.

Key responsibilities:

• Lead the full bid lifecycle, from PQQ through to final tender submission
• Collaborate closely with Preconstruction, Estimating, Planning, and Delivery teams
• Develop client-focused win strategies and value propositions
• Produce clear, compelling written content and bespoke proposals
• Represent the business at client meetings, presentations, and interviews
• Identify and mitigate risks throughout the bid process

Candidate requirements:

• Proven experience in managing bids within the construction sector, ideally in refurbishment
• Strong commercial awareness and ability to develop competitive win themes
• Excellent written, communication, and stakeholder engagement skills
• Ability to manage multiple bids simultaneously under tight deadlines
• Experience with a Tier 1 contractor is highly desirable
• Applications also considered from Bid Writers with relevant construction sector experience looking to step up into a management role
