AVEVA in Cambridge is seeking a Technical Accountant to support the Group Reporting - Technical Team in ensuring accurate reporting of transactions. The role operates in a SOX-controlled environment and collaborates with the external audit process.

You will assist with year-end statements, consolidation adjustments, and accounting policy documentation across the group. Strong Excel/Office skills and a proven ability to balance priorities are essential for success.

Qualifications

• Qualified accountant with experience of financial reporting and consolidations.
• Building relationships quickly/interpersonal skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word and PowerPoint.
• Experience working within a SOX environment is desirable.
• Organised and able to balance conflicting priorities.
• Capable of managing time and meeting deadlines.

• Able to comply with documented processes and procedures.

Responsibilities

• Reporting to the Senior Technical Accountant in the Group Reporting - Technical Team, your responsibilities will include (but not limited to):
• Supporting the production of the year-end financial statements;
• Supporting the external audit process, interacting with the audit team and providing relevant documentation;
• Assistance with the accuracy, completeness and documentation of fixed and variable consolidation adjustments;
• Data analysis for the calculation of consolidation adjustments;
• Assisting with calculating the required accounting adjustments for acquisitions, divestments and other transactions across the group;
• Assisting in documenting policies for the maintenance of the Group accounting manual;
• Ad-hoc support with technical accounting and reporting issues.
