Atari is seeking a Consolidation Manager & Technical Accountant in Newcastle upon Tyne, UK. The role oversees the Group’s IFRS consolidation, prepares the financial statements, and partners with Finance, Legal, and business leaders across multiple entities.

Qualifications

• Qualified accountant with IFRS consolidation experience.
• Ability to review contracts and assess complex transactions.
• Experience leading external audits and coordinating with auditors.
• Familiarity with US GAAP differences where IFRS applies.
• Ability to implement practical improvements in consolidation and reporting.

Responsibilities

• Lead monthly, quarterly and annual IFRS consolidation for the Group.
• Prepare consolidated financial statements, schedules and disclosures on time.
• Own the consolidation timetable across the Group to ensure deliverables.
• Perform technical analyses for significant or complex transactions.
• Prepare accounting position papers documenting facts, analysis and actions.
• Coordinate and manage the external audit process with auditors.
• Support acquisitions by reviewing opening balance sheets and integration.
• Maintain Group accounting policies across entities with IFRS/US GAAP considerations.
• Identify weaknesses in consolidation and redesign processes to improve efficiency.
• Build repeatable processes, documentation and controls for easier auditing.
