Job summary

Operation Wallacea is seeking a postgraduate Publicity Agent at Nottingham Trent University to help spread the word about our biodiversity talks and expedition research.

You will promote talks on campus using posters, social media, emails and society networks, liaise with lecturers, hand out flyers after lectures and attend careers fairs to maximise turnout. The role is flexible and part-time, with £200 per talk and a £50 bonus if you bring 50+ students. Materials are provided by Opwall.

Qualifications

• Postgraduate student or recent graduate preferred.
• Campus promotion experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Promote Opwall talks across the university using posters, social media, emails and societies.
• Put up posters and check they are on display.
• Hand out postcards after lectures.
• Liaise with lecturers to share promotional slides in classes.
• Send promo emails to students in relevant departments.
• Engage societies (Expedition, Biology, etc.) to spread the word.
• Post updates across social channels.
• Attend careers fairs and main talks to boost turnout.
• Keep the UK office updated on progress.
