Job summary

Operation Wallacea is seeking a Postgraduate Publicity Agent at Bishop Burton College to promote talks on biodiversity conservation and expedition research. The role offers flexible, part-time hours and is ideal for students pursuing conservation or science communication interests.

You’ll promote talks across the university using posters, social media, email and more, liaise with lecturers, distribute materials, and report progress to the UK office.

Qualifications

• Must be a postgraduate student or in a related field.
• Interest in conservation, science communication or event promotion.

Responsibilities

• Promote Opwall talks across your university via word of mouth, posters, social media and emails (materials provided).
• Put up posters and ensure they remain displayed.
• Distribute postcards after lectures and liaise with lecturers to share promotional slides.
• Send promo emails to students in relevant departments and engage societies to spread the word.
• Post on social media channels and attend careers fairs and talks to gauge turnout.
• Keep the UK office updated on progress.
