Operation Wallacea is seeking a Postgraduate Publicity Agent at the University of Nottingham to help promote upcoming biodiversity talks and expeditions. The role offers flexible, part-time hours and is ideal for someone looking to gain real-world marketing, events and outreach experience within a respected conservation organisation.

You’ll promote talks in-person and online, hang posters, hand out postcards, liaise with lecturers, and reach out to societies.

Qualifications

• Current postgraduate student at a university.
• Interest in conservation, science communication, or outreach.

Responsibilities

• Promote Opwall’s talks across the university via in-person promotion, posters, social media and email.
• Put up posters and check they’re on display.
• Hand out postcards after lectures.
• Liaise with lecturers to share promotional slides in relevant classes.
• Send promo emails to students in relevant departments.
• Engage societies and clubs to spread the word.
• Post across social media channels.
• Attend careers fairs and main talks to confirm turnout.
• Keep the UK office updated on progress.
