Job summary

The Conservation Volunteers (TCV) Hull & Humber seeks a Project Officer to plan and supervise practical conservation projects and lead volunteer teams in urban and rural settings. The role combines office planning with field delivery, including coordinating weekly tasks and liaising with partners and land managers.

Qualifications

• Experience in environment sector or similar.
• Ability to plan practical conservation projects including ordering materials and other logistics.
• Experience supervising groups of volunteers, including vulnerable adults and people with learning difficulties.
• Good communication with landowners, partners, volunteers and, at times, children.
• Digital awareness and ability to use social media for news and recruitment.
• Willingness to learn and complete required training, including equipment use.

Responsibilities

• Plan and coordinate practical conservation task programmes.
• Manage, support and supervise teams of volunteers.
• Plan weekly paid practical conservation work with partners and land managers.
• Develop plans and quotes for clients; manage resources and logistics.
• Publicity and fundraising efforts related to projects.
