Job summary

ScottishPower is seeking a Consent & EIA Officer to deliver project-level consents, permissions and EIA activities for on and offshore transmission projects from Cambuslang. You will coordinate stakeholders, environmental inputs, and ensure consent compliance under the direction of the Lead Consents & EIA Officer.

The role requires knowledge of planning and EIA processes, strong communication skills, and the ability to manage multiple projects with suppliers.

Qualifications

• Degree in planning, environmental, or related discipline.
• Knowledge of planning, consenting and EIA processes for infrastructure projects.
• Experience supporting infrastructure, utilities, or environmental projects.
• Strong stakeholder engagement, communication, and organisational skills.

Responsibilities

• Deliver project-level consents and EIA activities, including support for applications, permissions, environmental assessments and consent conditions.
• Coordinate surveys, stakeholder engagement, environmental inputs and project records.
• Maintain relationships with project managers, consultees, contractors, and advisers.
• Support negotiations and assist on complex matters.
• Manage framework suppliers including scope, programme, quality and cost control.
• Support consultations, hearings and project events.
• Monitor consent obligations and environmental commitments and escalate risks.
• Contribute to environmental reporting and records management.
