The Bamford Collection’s The Bell in Charlbury is seeking a guest-focused hospitality professional to operate across restaurant, pub and private dining spaces. The role emphasizes delivering exceptional service, menu knowledge, and allergen awareness within a 45-hour week that includes weekends.

You will support a culture of sustainability and social impact while engaging with guests and colleagues in a team-driven environment.

Qualifications

• Excellent Customer Service: Friendly, attentive, and professional interaction with guests.
• Strong Communication Skills: Clearly relay orders to the kitchen and answer customer questions.
• Multitasking & Efficiency: Handle multiple tables, manage time well, and stay organized during busy shifts.
• Knowledge of Food & Beverage: Familiarity with menu items, ingredients, and pairings to upsell.
• Teamwork & Reliability: Collaborate with kitchen staff and fellow servers, test punctuality and dependability.

Responsibilities

• Ensure the restaurant, pub and private dining spaces are set up for every meal period, respecting standards.
• Deliver outstanding guest service by exceeding guest expectations.
• Know all dishes and beverages on the menu and discuss allergens with guests.
• Monitor timing and flow of service at tables and flag delays.
• Ensure bills are correct and settled.
• Drive social and environmental improvements as part of our sustainability vision.
• Inspire customers, suppliers and partners to live and work more consciously.
