Job summary

Boeing Commercial Aviation Services Europe Limited is seeking a Senior Manager & Chief Projects Engineer for Connectivity. You will own on-time, on-budget delivery of Connectivity modification programmes across CME, leading the Connectivity Engineering IPT and managing risk and certification milestones.

The role involves matrix leadership, capability planning, and working with regulators and customers. Office-based with global collaboration and strong focus on airworthiness and safety standards.

Qualifications

• Significant experience in aerospace engineering, especially in commercial aircraft modification, MRO, or OEM environments.
• Proven ability to lead teams and deliver schedule and budget performance.
• 5+ years of leadership experience.
• Ability to work across functional boundaries to secure resources and drive delivery.
• Strong knowledge of EASA Part 21J design organisation requirements and airworthiness processes.
• Experience managing technical risk in a complex programme with RIO registers and corrective actions.

Responsibilities

• Own on-time and on-budget delivery of all Connectivity modification programmes across the CME portfolio.
• Lead the Connectivity Engineering IPT, setting pace and direction across active and pipeline projects.
• Apply a maturity-gated, hybrid agile/waterfall execution strategy to ensure readiness before engagement of downstream disciplines.
• Identify resource requirements early and upscale gaps to prevent schedule threats.
• Maintain the technical risk and issue register and drive corrective actions with clear mitigations.
• Support or lead customer and authority interactions at key certification milestones.
