Job summary

Leading International Law Firm in London is seeking a Conflicts Specialist to join its expanding London team. You will help investigate potential conflicts, support onboarding of new clients, and ensure matters progress smoothly.

The role requires experience with SRA conflicts rules; exposure to US/ABA would be an advantage. You will collaborate with lawyers and internal stakeholders to gather information and maintain data across systems in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Experience in conflicts, business acceptance, or related risk role within a law firm.
• Knowledge of SRA code of conduct and conflicts rules.

Responsibilities

• Advising on new client and new matters related to conflicts.
• Reviewing and investigating potential conflicts for new matters.
• Analyzing search results and flagging issues needing further review.
• Researching companies, ownership structures and corporate relationships.
• Collaborating with lawyers and stakeholders to resolve conflicts.
• Maintaining accurate information across internal systems and databases.
• Managing a varied workload in a fast-paced environment.

Conflicts Specialist

A super rare opportunity to be one of the first hires as this US law firm sets up its London conflicts team.

The Team

The team is currently solely in the US, but as the firm keeps expanding its London and EMEA offices they have identified the need for a team based in London.

The Role

Working as part of a specialist team, you'll play a key role in supporting the firm's new business processes by investigating potential conflicts and helping to ensure matters can progress smoothly.

• Advising on both new client and new matters.
• Reviewing and investigating potential conflicts relating to new matters.
• Analysing search results and identifying issues requiring further review.
• Conducting research into companies, ownership structures and corporate relationships.
• Working closely with lawyers and other internal stakeholders to gather information and resolve potential issues.

About You

We're looking for someone with previous experience in a Conflicts, Business Acceptance, New Business Intake or related Risk role within a law firm.

You must have experience with SRA code of conduct / SRA conflicts rules and any exposure to US/ABA would be an advantage.
