Job summary

Leonardo is seeking a Principal Configuration & Change Control Engineer to drive configuration excellence across defence programmes from our UK sites in Luton or Bristol. You will lead governance, assurance and change control activities, partnering with Lead Configuration Engineer and customer bodies.

You'll mentor Configuration Engineers, influence senior stakeholders and supervise audits, baselines, and lifecycle CM plans, ensuring compliance with contractual and regulatory requirements while

Qualifications

Extensive experience in configuration and change control within defence, aerospace, or similarly regulated industries.
Authority in configuration governance, baseline management and change control.
Experience assuring and reviewing Configuration Management Plans.

Responsibilities

Provide leadership, governance and assurance of configuration and change activities.
Lead governance for key review boards and complex change decisions.
Drive use of CM tools and data as a single source of truth across programmes.
Lead configuration audits, compliance assessments and customer/regulator assurance.
Mentor and develop Configuration Engineers for capability growth.
