The University seeks a Conference Host to support commercial and corporate events at our award-winning Technology & Innovation Centre (TIC), and assist with our Conference Management Service (CMS).
The TIC is the University’s flagship research facility, opened in July 2015 by HM The Queen. It features £11m of flexible conferencing facilities and is a leading venue for business and academic events, hosting over 600 events and 46,000 delegates in 2023/24. It has received multiple awards, including the UK Best Academic Venue and Green Tourism Gold accreditation.
The Conference Hosts deliver practical support to ensure a first-class experience for event attendees, on campus or online. Responsibilities include:
The role involves working 35 hours/week, across 5 days, with shifts including early mornings, evenings, and weekends, attracting a 5% premium. The ideal candidate is motivated, detail-oriented, professional, experienced in conferencing or events, and flexible.
