Job summary

De Vere Grand Connaught Rooms in Covent Garden seeks a Conference & Event Sales Executive to convert enquiries to bookings, showcase our venue through showrounds, and help clients plan every detail of their event. You will join a busy events planning team, ensuring client requirements reach operations for successful events.

You bring event planning experience or a relevant qualification, a passion for creating memorable guest experiences, and strong communication skills.

Qualifications

• Some previous event planning/coordination experience or a relevant qualification.
• Passionate about events and delivering memorable experiences for guests.
• Strong relationships and communication with colleagues and guests.
• Familiarity with IT software; Opera experience is a plus and training will be provided.

Responsibilities

• Convert enquiries into bookings and showcase our venue through showrounds.
• Help clients plan every detail of their event and communicate requirements to operations.
• Collaborate with the events planning team to ensure a flawless day for guests.
• Build strong relationships with clients to generate repeat business.

Join us at De Vere Grand Connaught Rooms in Covent Garden in this pivotal role that brings meetings & events to life!

As an Conference & Event Sales Executive, you will convert enquiries in to bookings, showcasing our venue through showrounds and helping our clients to plan every detail of their event. You will work as part of our busy events planning team, effectively communicating client requirements to our operational team who will then run the events on the day.

In return the role offers

Your skills and experience:

• You will ideally have some previous event planning / co-ordination experience or a relevant qualification
• You are passionate about events and prepared to put your heart and soul in to delivering memorable experiences for our guests
• You forge strong working relationships and create genuine connections with colleagues and our valued guests through your excellent communication skills.
• You are confident using IT software - familiarity with Opera software would be beneficial but is not essential as training can be provided
• Most of all, you will share our values such as being graciously warm, demonstrating a genuine approach, anticipating guest needs and ensuring every detail is considered
