De Vere Grand Connaught Rooms in London is seeking an experienced General Manager to lead the day-to-day operations of one of London’s most prestigious events venues. You’ll head a senior team and ensure high standards, excellent service delivery and strong commercial performance.

Reporting to the Venue Director, you will drive performance, manage costs and deliver outstanding events across conferences, meetings, banquets and awards ceremonies in a large non-residential venue.

Qualifications

• Proven management experience within a high-volume conference, banqueting and events venue or similar hospitality environment.
• Strong commercial and financial awareness, particularly around payroll management and departmental cost control
• A passion for delivering exceptional events and maintaining consistently high operational standards
• A visible and engaging leadership style, with the ability to motivate, inspire and develop teams
• Excellent organisational and communication skills, with the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment

Responsibilities

• Lead day-to-day running of the venue and ensure high standards and service delivery.

An exciting opportunity for an experienced General Manager to lead the day-to-day operations of one of London's most prestigious events venues.

De Vere Grand Connaught Rooms is a unique, non-residential events venue in the heart of London, between Covent Garden and Holborn. As the only dedicated events venue of its kind within the De Vere collection, it hosts a wide range of conferences, meetings, banquets, awards ceremonies and special events. It is a 124,000 square foot venue over multiple floors so you'll get your steps in!

As General Manager you'll report to the Venue Director and take responsibility for the day-to-day running of the venue, ensuring high standards, excellent service delivery and strong commercial performance. You will lead a senior team including the Head Chef, Operations Manager, Head of People & Culture and Chief Engineer, with a clear focus on driving performance, managing costs and delivering outstanding events.

This is a great opportunity for an experienced Venue Manager looking to take the next step, or an established General Manager seeking to focus on the non-residential meetings and events market.
