About the Role
You’ll have an important part to play as our part‑time Conference Assistant providing all meeting room and conference equipment requirements. In a fast‑paced business environment you’ll regularly set up furniture and equipment for conferences and events, as well as providing, moving and installing Audio Visual support and routine equipment maintenance. Occasionally covering reception during team breaks and holidays, you’ll support with relevant tasks in a small Client Services. Training will be given.
As part of your key responsibilities you’ll:
Set up conference and meeting rooms
Move various pieces of equipment including heavy equipment such as chairs, tables, flip charts as required
Organise storage areas including furniture and AV equipment
Set up Audio Visual equipment and perform daily checks of digital signage
Manage equipment returns and maintenance
Support conference facilitators and delegates with connecting to room AV systems and WiFi
Assist with equipment installation, set‑up and operation
Maintain clean, tidy and organised conference rooms, storage areas and equipment
About You
Experience in conference centre support, hospitality, facilities, or basic AV event operations would be an advantage
Confident in the use of IT equipment, including display and AV equipment
Confident and self‑motivated individual, who is able to work on your own initiative and as part of a team
Ability to prioritise own workloads and follow instructions to meet tight deadlines
Reliable with a positive can‑do attitude with a friendly, professional manner and a willingness to learn new skills
Ability to move equipment as mentioned in the responsibilities
