Job summary

The Housing Network in Leicester is seeking an experienced Concierge to join our growing Leicester Service. You will help ensure resident safety, support vulnerable individuals, and work with partners to deliver Better Accommodation and Better Support.

The role demands empathy for those facing homelessness and complex needs, safeguarding awareness, and the ability to work across multiple sites with external agencies. DBS check applies and visa sponsorship is not offered.

Qualifications

• Experience as a concierge in housing or similar settings.
• Ability to support highly vulnerable people with empathy.
• Safeguarding awareness and incident response skills.
• Comfort working across multiple sites and with external agencies.

Responsibilities

• Provide a presence across accommodation services to ensure safety and wellbeing.
• Monitor incidents, safeguarding concerns, anti-social behaviour, and emergencies.
• Conduct property visits, health and safety checks, inspections and welfare checks.
• Monitor CCTV and respond to concerns per procedures.
• Build positive relationships with residents using a trauma-informed approach.
• Support residents with practical issues and engagement with support services.
• Maintain accurate records, incident reports and risk assessments in digital systems.
• Work independently across sites while coordinating with colleagues and external partners.
• Ensure accommodation remains safe, secure and compliant with health and safety rules.

Highly experienced working with individuals facing homelessness and/or people struggling with mental-health, substance misuse, a history of offending and other complex needs

What you’ll be doing:

• Providing a presence across our accommodation services to ensure resident safety and wellbeing.
• Monitoring and responding to incidents, anti-social behaviour, safeguarding concerns, and emergencies.
• Carrying out regular property visits, health and safety checks, accommodation inspections, and welfare checks.
• Monitoring CCTV systems and responding to concerns in line with service procedures.
• Building positive relationships with residents using a strengths-based and trauma-informed approach.
• Supporting residents with practical issues and encouraging positive engagement with support services.
• Maintaining accurate records, incident reports, support notes, and risk assessments using our digital systems.
• Working independently across multiple sites while liaising closely with colleagues and external agencies when required.
• Ensuring accommodation remains safe, secure, and compliant with health and safety requirements.
