Concierge

Hastings Hotels is a family owned, luxury hotel group based in Northern Ireland.

We are seeking a reliable and enthusiastic person to become part of our Concierge Teamat the exclusive Grand Central Hotel.

Under the inspiring leadership of our General Manager, Jake McHugh, you will have the opportunity to work with our friendly team, develop your skills and enjoy the variety offered by a role in hospitality. Find out more about why our people love working for Hastings Hotels here.

The successful candidate can expect to work 35 hours per week (excluding breaks), five shifts out seven including weekends.Typical shifts include 7am to 3pm, 11am to 7pm and 3pm to 11pm.

The salary for this full-time position is £22,568 per annum.

About the role

To be responsible for providing a professional concierge service for the greatest enjoyment of the guests and the maximum profit contribution to the hotel.

1.To welcome guests to the hotel, directing and assisting them as required.

2.To provide guests with information on facilities, services, events and attractions, tours, travel routes and transport schedules, arranging tickets, bookings, appointments and reservations as required.

3.To provide guests with maps, brochures and other literature, relevant to the area.

4.To be aware of all hotel services and proactive in the sale of these to guests.

5.To ensure you handle, store and deliver guest luggage to the appropriate destination

6.To provide a guest car parking valet service

7.To assist guests with any reasonable request for hotel services.

8.To ensure all equipment and materials are used in correct manner and any problems are reported immediately.

9.To work effectively with colleagues to ensure an harmonious working environment where all employees are treated with respect and dignity.

10.To maintain the security of guest property and storage areas at all times, immediately reporting any breaches.

11.To comply with all health, safety and hygiene policies and procedures.

12.To respond to guest complaints and in the first instance find the appropriate solution.

13.To ensure that guest concerns, complaints and difficulties are dealt with courteously andefficiently, reporting them to the Head Concierge/Duty Manager.

14.Any other duties as required by management.
