Simply Education Ltd are supporting a welcoming secondary school in South East London in their search for a Computing Teacher to start immediately. You will plan and deliver Computing and Computer Science lessons across KS3 and KS4 and help students develop programming and digital literacy.

The ideal candidate will have QTS or an equivalent qualification, experience teaching Computing/CS in a secondary setting, strong subject knowledge, and excellent classroom and behaviour management.

Qualifications

  • QTS or equivalent qualification is required.
  • Experience teaching Computing/CS in a secondary school.
  • Strong subject knowledge across Computing and Computer Science.
  • Experience teaching KS3 and KS4.
  • Ability to deliver engaging and challenging lessons.
  • Strong classroom and behaviour management.
  • Commitment to safeguarding and promoting welfare of children.

Responsibilities

  • Plan and deliver engaging Computing and Computer Science lessons across KS3 and KS4.
  • Adapt lessons for students of varying abilities.
  • Deliver a broad Computing curriculum and prepare students for GCSE CS where required.
  • Support development of programming, computational thinking and digital literacy.
  • Maintain high expectations of behaviour, progress and achievement.
  • Assess and monitor student progress and collaborate with the Computing/ICT department.

Are you a passionate and experienced Computing Teacher looking for an immediate opportunity in a secondary school in South East London?

We are currently working with a welcoming and supportive secondary school that is looking for a committed Computing Teacher to join their team as soon as possible.

This is an excellent opportunity for a teacher who is passionate about Computing and enjoys inspiring students to develop their digital skills, problem-solving abilities and understanding of computer science.

The Role

As a Computing Teacher, you will be responsible for:

  • Planning and delivering engaging Computing and Computer Science lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4.
  • Teaching students of varying abilities and adapting lessons to meet individual needs.
  • Delivering a broad and engaging Computing curriculum.
  • Preparing students for GCSE Computer Science where required.
  • Supporting students to develop programming, computational thinking and digital literacy skills.
  • Maintaining high expectations of behaviour, progress and achievement.
  • Assessing and monitoring student progress.
  • Working collaboratively with colleagues within the Computing/ICT department.
The Ideal Candidate

The successful Computing Teacher will ideally have:

  • QTS or an equivalent recognised teaching qualification.
  • Experience teaching Computing / Computer Science within a secondary school.
  • Strong subject knowledge across Computing and Computer Science.
  • Experience teaching KS3 and/or KS4.
  • The ability to deliver engaging and challenging lessons.
  • Strong classroom and behaviour management skills.
  • A passion for supporting students to achieve their full potential.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.
