Job summary

OxTS is seeking a Computer Vision Engineer in Middleton Stoney, UK, to join the Engineering team. You will contribute to SLAM, perception and sensor‑fusion for real‑world navigation and mapping products, interfacing with embedded systems and geospatial data.

You’ll work on projects combining LIDAR, cameras, GNSS, IMU and other sensors, delivering production-ready software and collaborating across multi-disciplinary teams.

Qualifications

• Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, related Degree or equivalent experience.
• A genuine interest in continued learning and professional development.
• Experience in at least one of: computer vision, SLAM, robotics, mapping, perception and/or sensor-fusion systems.
• Experience delivering production-quality engineering software.
• Understanding of software architecture, code quality, testing and CI/CD.

Responsibilities

• Apply software engineering, mathematical and analytical skills to solve interesting technical problems and support the continued development of OXTS products.
• Help us developing software that combines LIDAR, cameras, Global Navigation Satellite Systems (GNSS), inertial sensors and advanced mathematical techniques to deliver highly accurate positioning, orientation, motion and mapping data.
• Contribute to technical investigations, algorithm evaluation, experimental analysis and innovation activities that support future product development and technical roadmaps.
• Take responsibility for technical deliverables, have autonomy over your day-to-day engineering work, and keep growing your expertise while collaborating with colleagues on shared team and project goals.
