Job summary

Study Group seeks qualified academics to teach on the International Foundation Year (level 3) and International Year One (level 4) Computer Science pathways at Cardiff ISC. You will contribute to module delivery, assessment, and materials development, with a focus on student-centred learning and innovative teaching practices.

Experience in UK higher education, knowledge of Java, and ability to work with international students are highly regarded.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, software engineering or closely related discipline.
• Experience of teaching in UK higher education or sixth form.
• Knowledge of Java or other object-oriented languages; ability to develop teaching material and use VLE.

Responsibilities

• Contribute to the delivery and development of Cardiff ISC modules and teaching sessions.
• Prepare and deliver teaching sessions up to 25 hours per week as needed.
• Mark formative and summative assessments and provide timely feedback.
• Develop module materials and update VLE content.
• Support with labs coordination and student welfare progression.
