Job summary

Protocol Education is recruiting a Computer Science Teacher for a welcoming secondary school in Sheffield. You will deliver engaging lessons across KS3- KS5, plan and assess, and support pupils to develop programming and problem-solving skills.

QTS or equivalent required; strong subject knowledge essential. This is a full-time, on-site role with ongoing professional development and potential for permanent placement.

Qualifications

  • QTS or teaching experience is required.
  • Strong knowledge of Computer Science or a related discipline.
  • Ability to engage and motivate secondary-aged pupils.
  • Excellent classroom and behaviour management skills.

Responsibilities

  • Deliver engaging Computer Science lessons across KS3, KS4 and KS5.
  • Plan and deliver lessons that develop pupils' digital and problem‑solving skills.
  • Teach topics including programming, algorithms, computer systems and digital technology.
  • Maintain high expectations for pupil achievement and behaviour.
  • Monitor progress and provide constructive feedback.
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues across the department and wider school.
  • Contribute positively to the life and culture of the school.

The role

As a Computer Science Teacher, you will:

  • Deliver engaging Computer Science lessons across KS3, KS4 and KS5
  • Plan and deliver lessons that inspire pupils to develop their digital and problem-solving skills
  • Teach topics including programming, algorithms, computer systems and digital technology
  • Maintain high expectations for pupil achievement and behaviour

We're looking for someone who:
  • Has QTS or relevant teaching experience
  • Has strong subject knowledge within Computer Science or a related discipline

  • Has excellent classroom and behaviour management skills
  • Is reliable, enthusiastic and committed to helping pupils achieve their potential
  • Is an experienced teacher or ECT looking for their next challenge
