Job summary

Elite 360 Resourcing Ltd is recruiting for an experienced CAD Technician to join an established engineering business. The role covers CAD design, technical drawing, and support across Sales and Production teams.

Proficiency in Fusion 360 and AutoCAD LT is essential, with opportunities for 3D printing-based prototyping. The position is permanent and full-time, based in West Yorkshire, with a focus on accurate, manufacturable drawings for aluminium extrusion dies and related manufacturing

Qualifications

• Proficient in reading and interpreting engineering drawings.
• Experience with CAD design for aluminium extrusion dies is advantageous.
• Capable of managing multiple projects and meeting deadlines.
• Familiarity with metal industry/manufacturing processes is beneficial.
• Proficient in Fusion 360 and AutoCAD LT for high-quality designs.

Responsibilities

• Produce and amend accurate 2D CAD drawings for aluminium extrusion dies.
• Create technical drawings for customer quotations and manufacturing.
• Provide technical support to the Sales and Production teams.
• Ensure drawings are accurate, manufacturable and meet customer specifications.
• Utilise Fusion 360 and AutoCAD LT to produce high-quality designs.
• Support prototype development using 3D printing when required.
• Maintain drawing records and documentation.

We are delighted to be recruiting for an experienced CAD Technician to join a well-established and growing engineering business specialising in aluminium, steel and timber products for the transport and manufacturing sectors.

This is an excellent opportunity for a detail-oriented CAD Designer, Technical Draughtsperson or Engineering Design Technician looking to develop their career within a supportive and innovative environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Produce and amend accurate 2D CAD drawings for aluminium extrusion dies.
• Create technical drawings for customer quotations and manufacturing.
• Provide technical support to the Sales and Production teams.
• Ensure all drawings are accurate, manufacturable and meet customer specifications.
• Utilise Fusion 360 and AutoCAD LT to produce high-quality designs.
• Support prototype development using 3D printing technology where required.
• Maintain drawing records and documentation in line with company procedures.

Skills & Experience

We're looking for candidates with experience in one or more of the following:

• CAD Designer
• Technical Draughtsperson
• Proficiency in Fusion 360
• Experience using AutoCAD LT
• Excellent attention to detail
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings
• Strong organisational and time management skills
• Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines
• Experience within the metal industry, aluminium extrusion or manufacturing environment.
• Knowledge of engineering or production processes.
• Experience with 3D printing or prototype development.
