Job summary

Mercury Hampton Ltd partners with Telford Compressed Air Services to recruit an experienced Service Engineer. The role focuses on servicing, fault-finding, breakdowns and preventative maintenance on industrial compressed air equipment across local and regional customer sites.

The ideal candidate has an engineering background with electromechanical fault-finding skills, experience with compressors or related equipment, and holds a City & Guilds or NVQ qualification.

Qualifications

• Engineering background with electromechanical fault-finding skills.
• Experience servicing, maintaining or repairing industrial equipment, ideally with compressors.
• Engineering qualification (City & Guilds or NVQ) advantageous.
• Full UK Driving Licence essential.

Responsibilities

• Carry out routine servicing, fault finding and preventative maintenance on compressed air equipment.
• Attend breakdowns and work with customers to diagnose issues and propose improvements.
• Prepare detailed service reports and remedial work recommendations.
• Provide support and guidance to customers on equipment operation and upkeep.

The Role:

As a Service Engineer with TCAS, you will be responsible for carrying out routine servicing, fault finding, breakdown attendance and preventative maintenance on a range of compressed air equipment and systems. You will work closely with customers to diagnose issues, recommend improvements and ensure equipment operates efficiently and reliably.

The role will involve both planned maintenance activities and responding to customer breakdowns, alongside completing detailed service reports and remedial work recommendations.

To be successful in this position, we are looking for somebody who has ideally come from a background in Compressed Air/Industrial Gas.

However, candidates from the following backgrounds will be considered:

• Drying systems
• Filtration
• Pneumatics
• HVAC

Your Background:

• Engineering background with electromechanical fault-finding skills - understanding of wiring, circuits etc
• Experience servicing, maintaining or repairing industrial equipment - ideally with Compressed Air systems/Compressors or related equipment
• Engineering qualification (City & Guilds or NVQ) advantageous
• Strong communication skills with the ability to build customer relationships
• Good report writing and administrative skills
• Full UK Driving Licence essential
