Job summary

RMS Limited in the United Kingdom is seeking a Compound Driver to join our busy automotive operation in Killingholme. You’ll move, park and store vehicles, perform basic checks, and coordinate with the yard team to keep vehicle flow smooth.

Applicants should hold a full UK driving licence (no DR10 offences), be 22 or older, safety-minded, and a strong team player with good communication. This outdoor role may include valet/wash tasks and PDIs, contributing to delivery readiness.

Qualifications

• Aged 22 or over for insurance purposes.
• Full UK Driving Licence with minimal penalty points (≤6) and no DR10 offences.

Responsibilities

• Safely moving, parking, and storing vehicles in line with standards.
• Using a handheld device to track vehicle movements.
• Carrying out basic vehicle maintenance checks (tyres, safety, etc.).
• Coordinating with team members to manage vehicle flow around the yard.
• Completing valet/wash services for delivery readiness.
• Supporting Pre-Delivery Inspections (PDI) including checks on fluids, batteries, tyres, lights, brakes, wipers and overall condition.
• Recording and reporting any damage or defects to the Team Leader.

What You'll Be Doing: You'll play a key role in keeping our vehicle compound running smoothly by:

• Safely moving, parking, and storing vehicles in line with company and customer standards
• Using a handheld device to accurately track vehicle movements
• Carrying out basic vehicle maintenance checks (tyre inflation, safety checks, etc.)
• Coordinating with team members to manage vehicle flow around the yard
• Completing valet/wash services to ensure vehicles are ready for delivery
• Supporting Pre-Delivery Inspections (PDI), including checks on fluids, batteries, tyres, lights, brakes, wipers, and overall vehicle condition
• Recording and reporting any damage or defects to the Team Leader
• Aged 22 or over (for insurance purposes)
• Full UK Driving Licence (less than 6 penalty points, no DR10 offences)
• Reliable, safety-conscious, and happy working outdoors
• Strong communication skills and a team-player attitude
• Keen to learn and take on new challenges
