Career Choices Dewis Gyrfa Ltd, recruiting on behalf of a reputable Cardiff franchise-approved commercial vehicle dealership, seeks a Compound / Class 1 Driver. You will move vehicles between sites, accept deliveries, and prepare vehicles for PDI, delivering exceptional service across the dealer network.

Full training provided, 39 hours per week, no weekend work, and a clear progression path within the dealer group.

Qualifications

We are recruiting on behalf of a reputable franchise-approved commercial vehicle dealership in Cardiff for the role of Compound / Class 1 Driver.

This position offers a stable career within a respected dealer group.

The Compound / Class 1 Driver will handle vehicle movements, storage, and deliveries across the dealership network.

Responsibilities include accepting deliveries, maintaining accurate vehicle records, preparing vehicles for PDI, conducting collections and drop-offs, and operating a vehicle transporter as needed.

Full tachograph compliance and adherence to safety regulations are essential.

Drivers must hold a full UK driving licence with a Class 1 qualification, preferably with minimal points.

Organisation, reliability, and the ability to work independently are required.

Excellent customer service skills are necessary, and experience with vehicle transport and tachograph regulations is advantageous but not essential, as full training is provided.

Benefits for the Compound / Class 1 Driver include:

• Salary: £28,764 per annum, dependent on experience and current earnings
• Working hours: 39 hours per week, Monday to Thursday 8:30am-5:00pm, Fridays 8:30am-4:00pm
• No weekend work - 22 days annual holiday plus bank holidays (bank holidays worked earn a day off in lieu)
